On August 3rd, Jess Stitt and John Carter hosted bingo at the Peck Community Center to help raise funds for maintenance, upkeep, and renovations. It was an absolute success! John Carter was our caller and did a fantastic job. Jessica Slavik brought her ICT Crunchies and donated a portion of her proceeds back to the Center while also helping run the snack bar. Lucretia Smith ran our snack bar and was busy most of the night! Sam Bell donated popcorn, his machines, and his time so we could have a salty snack available. Linda Wilbur and Roxana Stitt worked at the registration table. Woody Stitt was a walking billboard for the event and donation gatherer. This small group pulled together a wonderful event with over 50 people in attendance. There was a ton of positive feedback and requests to do it again. We had some learning curves but this was just the beginning! Thank you to everyone that came out or helped make tonight a success!

NEW FOLDING TABLES
Sometimes, it's the small things that make a big difference. At the July board meeting a motion passed to purchase 12 white, 8 foot plastic tables to replace the old, heavy ones that were probably the original lunchroom tables from the 60's! They are much lighter, much brighter and make a nice addition to the community center. Thank you Jess Stitt for picking them up and John Carter for the use of your truck!
The Trapping and Snaring seminar went well! We provided what some called a "Hot Dog Happy Meal" at noon that included a hot dog, chips, and a drink. Thanks to all who attended. We hope to do this again next August.
Update on Renovations
We have been working hard to renovate the building. This spring we did some major repairs and renovations to the restrooms, replacing the old water heater with an instant hot water unit, replacing the toilets, sinks and faucets, and repairing a water leak in the walls.
The Bell family built a shelter house in the playground area so that families can enjoy some shade while their children are playing. It was greatly appreciated during the car show when temperatures rose throughout the day!
As you drive by the center, you might also notice the new LED sign on the building that identifies it as the PECK COMMUNITY CENTER. Thank you, Sam Bell for the hard work creating that wonderful sign!
Thanks for your support!
SHARING ENDORSEMENTS OF OUR CENTER AND EVENTS
We love this little community and all the hard work that they are putting into the center. We just had a party here and it was clean, well stocked facilities, and great NEW air conditioning! Wonderful for families to gather. Thank you!

Awesome place in small town if you need a location for an event or watch for open events there!

"I’m thankful for the opportunity to help you with your community center. I am a reading tutor for students struggling with reading and those with dyslexia. I want to help low income families who can’t afford to pay for their children to get tutoring services or supplies needed for tutoring. Therefore selling my collection of sewing crafts gives me the opportunity for providing these resources for my students. Together we were able to help one another benefit our communities!"

Love this! When we were younger and people ask where we attended school our answer was Peck Tech and Zyba U.

Love coming to see the updates the community is working on for the Peck Community center. It's definitely come a very long way in the past year and a half.

"We love the Peck Community Center! It is an old grade school that has nice rooms to gather in for celebrations, after funerals, family gatherings, and so much. The gym is large enough for a reunion. Supported by the people of the local community. A much less expensive venue for smaller parties."
~Merry Bauman
"We really enjoyed the car show. Fabulous cars and a beautiful day! We hope they return next year!"
